Location
Beach
You can reach several beaches on foot in about 5-10 minutes. You also have easy access to the west and east coasts of Rhodes. The west coast is ideally suited for windsurfing - conditions there are generally windier and the waves higher. On the east coast the sea is calmer and more typical of the Aegean. Either coast is within a 5-10-minute walk. For beaches further afield, there are good bus connections from the town.
Old Town
The Old Town is also within a 10-minute walk. It is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site and is truly astonishing.
New Town
STAY Rhodes is right in the middle of the new town. You are already there! To go other places on the island, the main bus station is just a 5-minute walk away.
Tourist Port
Main Port
It's a 10-minute walk to the tourist port. From here you can go on daily boat excursions to the south of Rhodes, other Greek islands such as Symi or to Marmaris in Turkey.
You can reach the main port by bus from the central bus station in 5-10 minutes. You can also get there by taxi for approximately 5,- EUR or just walk in about 20 minutes.
Airport
The airport is 35 minutes from the town by bus. The bus arrives at, and departs from, the central bus station, about a 5-minute walk away. The one-way ticket costs 2,50 - EUR. A taxi to or from the airport is about 25,- EUR.
Bus station
The central bus station is reachable within a 5-minute walk. By bus you can go almost anywhere on Rhodes.
